Our reputation is founded on dependability, drive, and unwavering professionalism.</p> <p>Opportunity:</p> <p>Interstate is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sign Shop Fabricator/Designer to contribute to our dynamic team. This multifaceted role involves both the creative design and the precise physical fabrication of a diverse range of signage. The ideal candidate will possess a understanding of sign construction, materials, and design principles, coupled with the ability to translate conceptual ideas into tangible, high-quality products.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Interpret project specifications and design proofs to develop effective and aesthetically pleasing sign designs. </li><li>Utilize design software and tools to create production-ready artwork, including layouts, vector graphics, and dimensional renderings. </li><li>Operate and maintain a variety of sign fabrication equipment, including but not limited to: plotters, routers, laminators, and 3M Printers. </li><li>Accurately cut, assemble, and finish sign components using various materials such as aluminum, 3M Substrates and vinyl. </li><li>Ensure all fabrication and assembly processes adhere to quality standards and project specifications. </li><li>Collaborate effectively with project managers and other team members to ensure seamless project execution and timely completion. </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols. </li><li>Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and propose effective solutions. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in sign design and fabrication. </li><li>Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Flexie Print & Cut, MUTCD, ClickUp). </li><li>Understanding of sign materials, construction methods, and industry standards. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications to meet the clients needs of design. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. </li><li>Strong 1 problem-solving and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li><li>Gather, lift, and carry inventory items (e.g., reflective sheeting, aluminum blanks, tools, and unfinished signs) to maintain cleanliness, and order of Sign Shop. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 25 lb with proper protection equipment. </li><li>Assist in ensuring that an adequate stock of sign making materials is maintained. </li><li>Must be able to stand for long periods of time. </li><li>The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <p>This position offers the following benefits, which new employees are eligible for on the first day of the month after their first thirty days of employment:</p> <ul> <li>Medical </li><li>Vision </li><li>Dental </li><li>401k (with matching option) </li></ul> <p>WORKING ENVIRONMENT:</p> <p>Interstate Companies, LLC., is based in Layton, UT.</p> <p>Interstate, an INFRASTRIPE, LLC company, makes recruitment, employment, promotional and all other Human Resource decisions without regard to age (40 and older), race(including traits historically associated with race, which includes hair texture, hair type, and protective hairstyles such as braids, locks, and twists), color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation (including transgender status, gender identity or expression), pregnancy (including childbirth, lactation, and related medical conditions), physical or mental disability, genetic information (including testing and characteristics), veteran status, uniformed service member status, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local laws.</p> <p>This policy applies to all aspects of employment that include but are not limited to hiring, promotion, training, transfers, job assignments, terminations, recalls, wage and salary administration, and application of all Company policies, procedures, and benefits.</p>
