<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Node.js Developer in Greenwood Village, CO. Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale systems and high utilization APIs. The Node.js Developer will own the development and operations of these APIs, ensuring tight SLAs and high performance to meet our customers' needs.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Node.js Developer will design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable software systems </li><li>Develop high-performance APIs and microservices using Node.js (primary language) and Python/Java (secondary languages) </li><li>Own the full lifecycle of critical APIs, from initial design to ongoing monitoring and optimization </li><li>Ensure API performance meets or exceeds defined SLAs, proactively addressing any issues </li><li>Optimize infrastructure and deployment processes on AWS cloud platform to maximize uptime and responsiveness </li><li>As a Node.js Developer, you will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions </li><li>Review code, provide mentorship, and participate in architectural discussions </li><li>Continuously improve engineering practices, tooling, and processes </li><li>Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap* 10+ years of professional software engineering experience </li><li>Extensive experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures </li><li>Hands-on experience with modern software development tools and practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD, testing frameworks) </li><li>Proven expertise in building large-scale, highly available, and performant systems </li><li>Proficient in Node.js, with experience in building production-ready APIs and microservices </li><li>Strong working knowledge of Python and/or Java </li><li>Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) </li><li>Familiarity with message queuing systems and event-driven architectures </li><li>Knowledge of distributed systems, caching, and data modeling </li><li>Exposure to front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular) </li><li>Passion for mentoring junior engineers and sharing knowledge </li><li>Track record of delivering high-performing, highly available APIs </li></ul>
