<p>Your role</p> <p>Are you an Event Management professional? Are you driven by the desire to deliver exceptional event experiences for employees, clients and prospects?</p> <p>We're looking for an Event Manager to:</p> <ul> <li>plan and operate 12-20 signature programs a year as well as collaborate with internal and external business partners to translate strategy into execution </li><li>exhibit strong event protocol/process and production knowledge to develop and execute best in class events </li><li>handle hotel/venue site evaluation and final event execution on site </li><li>negotiate hotel/venue/vendor/speaker contracts and task orders </li><li>liaise with hotel/venue on menu selection, rooming list, function space set-up, audio visual, décor etc. as well as manage complex budgets </li><li>execute Web-based event nomination, registration development & attendee management </li><li>partner with Creative Services on invitations, announcements, confirmations, etc. </li><li>create staffing plan and manage on-site staff and compile business results measurement and reporting post-event </li></ul> <p>Join us</p> <p>At UBS, we know that it's our people, with their diverse skills, experiences and backgrounds, who drive our ongoing success. Because together, we're more than ourselves.</p> <p>We're committed to disability inclusion and if you need reasonable accommodation/adjustments throughout our recruitment process, you can always contact us.</p> <p>Your expertise</p> <ul> <li>ideally, 8+ years' experience in the Event Management industry - experience in the Financial Industry is a plus </li><li>university degree </li><li>proven track record in working within an organization supporting high net worth clients and high performing employees </li><li>experience managing ticketing and arena events </li><li>excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (written and verbal), negotiation and leadership skills </li><li>proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and web-based registration software </li><li>strong knowledge in event, décor and menu design, event related costing and budget generation </li><li>ability to multi-task programs and projects in a fast-paced environment with short timeframes </li><li>willingness to travel up to 30 percent of the time including occasional nights and weekends </li></ul> <p>About us</p> <p>UBS is a leading and truly global wealth manager and the leading universal bank in Switzerland.
