The analyst will transform bash and Python scripts into modular Nextflow pipelines and contribute to bioinformatics workflow improvements using high-throughput sequencing data.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Develop modular workflows using Nextflow </li><li>Translate and optimize existing Bash/Python scripts for viral detection pipelines </li><li>Analyze NGS data using tools like BLAST, STAR, Bowtie, and samtools </li><li>Provide recommendations for workflow design improvements </li><li>Maintain detailed documentation and report updates regularly </li><li>Collaborate with project managers and lab scientists to integrate workflows </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred) </li><li>1-3+ years experience in bioinformatics and NGS workflow development </li><li>Proficiency in Nextflow, Bash, Python, and HPC/cloud environments </li><li>Strong version control (Git/GitHub) and documentation skills </li></ul> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $43.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
