<p>Logistics Specialist</p> <p>Planning</p> <ul> <li> <p>Plan outbound shipments of customer sales orders and intracompany transfers within capacity, resource and schedule constraints.</p> </li><li> <p>Schedule delivery appointments using customer portals or email.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with Plant Operations teams to schedule and assign drivers to routes.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with 3PL brokers to request spot rate quotes and book carriers for shipments, as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Generate shipment documentation including bills of lading (BOL) and delivery invoices.</p> </li></ul> <p>Support</p> <ul> <li> <p>Primary contact for drivers and 3PL brokers to resolve delivery questions, exceptions and incidents.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate sales order escalations with Customer Service, Sales and Plant Operations teams.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and maintain accurate data in logistics platforms like TMS, telematics, fleet management, fuel cards, and 3PL load portals.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist the Customer Service and Accounting teams with invoice reconciliation by reviewing completed shipment documentation like BOLs or proof of delivery (POD).</p> </li><li> <p>Assist the Operations and HR leadership with DOT compliance including documenting, organizing and auditing required records.</p> </li></ul> <p>Reporting</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide periodic analysis and reporting for leadership, including:</p> </li><li> <p>On-time and in full performance</p> </li><li> <p>Root cause analysis</p> </li><li> <p>Freight cost by customer, lane and region</p> </li><li> <p>Fleet utilization and capacity</p> </li><li> <p>3PL scorecard</p> </li><li> <p>Customer unload time</p> </li><li> <p>DOT compliance</p> </li></ul> <p>Candidate Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>2 years of fleet or third-party transportation management</p> </li><li> <p>Can demonstrate industry knowledge of perishable commodity shipping or food and beverage distribution to major retailers.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with fleet route optimization, TMS, and telematics.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with DOT and commercial vehicle administrative requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Microsoft Office apps like Outlook, Excel and Sharepoint</p> </li></ul>
