The HR intern's responsibilities include assisting with recruiting and attracting candidates for open positions, updating employee records, filing HR documents, initiating background checks, and providing suitable recommendations to improve HR policies.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program majoring in business management, human resource management or related field </li><li>Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is preferred </li><li>Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications </li><li>The ability to work as part of a team </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>Excellent administrative and organizational skills </li><li>Effective communication skills </li><li>Detail-oriented </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting with recruitment for open positions, specifically for ESY and new buildings - screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and onboarding assistance </li><li>Update employee records including new employee information, absence management, background checks, filing etc. </li><li>Assisting with benefits - enrolling employees in benefit plans, maintaining employee records, data entry </li><li>Assisting with payroll - data entry assistance for projects and audits </li><li>Assisting in the planning of organizational events </li><li>Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, general payroll information and other HR-related matters. </li></ul> <p>SALARY:</p> <p>$17.34 per hour</p> <p>SCHEDULE:</p> <p>20 TO 25 hours per week while enrolled in a undergradate or graduate program majoring in an business administration, human resources, or related field.
