<p>Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Health Care Assistant to join our team in our women's health department, located in Mansfield, OH. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience from the moment they enter our facility. We value our employees, communicate our expectations, and train our team on best practices.</p> <p>Mission:</p> <p>To deliver comprehensive health and wellness care, accessible to all in the communities we serve.</p> <p>MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:</p> <ul> <li>Commitment to the mission, vision and values of Third Street Family Health Services. </li><li>Takes personal responsibility to promote health equity. </li><li>Provides care without judgment. </li><li>Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner and respond to patient/customer requests as appropriate. </li><li>Competently utilizes the electronic health record. </li><li>Competently schedules patients for transportation services. </li><li>Ensure accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information to promote proper and expedient billing. </li><li>Correctly routes patient and client communication through appropriate channels as per organizational policy. </li><li>Promote, educate and leverage technology to ensure patient satisfaction, collaboration, and continuity of care. </li><li>Requires high level of discretion as related to privacy and confidentiality. </li><li>Endeavor to provide adequate notice of time away from work. </li><li>Makes reminder calls and follows up with patients as needed directed. </li><li>Provides excellent customer service to patients, clients and colleagues. </li><li>Orient the patient about what to expect during their visit. </li><li>Understands and implements slide fee. </li><li>Collects copays as required by organizational policy. </li><li>Asks appropriate questions to advance understanding of assigned job tasks. </li><li>Maintains working knowledge of all service lines offered at Third Street. </li><li>Establishes enduring, trusting relationships with patients, clients and colleagues. </li><li>Work efficiently both individually and within a team to accomplish required tasks. </li><li>Participate in meetings and trainings as requested. </li><li>Working knowledge of and adherence to risk and quality measures. </li><li>Be a positive role model for all health center staff. </li><li>Willing to assist in on-boarding and training of team members who are new to the organization. </li><li>Ability to travel to any Third Street Family health center as required. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred) </li><li>Experience with EMR/EHR (Preferred) </li><li>Experience with customer service (Preferred) </li><li>Experience with office duties (Preferred) </li><li>Experience with insurance verification (Preferred) </li></ul>
