<p>Title: Program Coordinator- Residential</p> <p>Reports to: Senior Director of Community Programs</p> <p>Department: Residential-Rite of Passage Program- Young Adult Services</p> <p>Classification: Exempt; Non-Union</p> <p>Date Created/Revised: 07/22, 2/24, 4/24, 12/25</p> <p>Organization Overview:</p> <p>Sound Community Services, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating, assisting, and supporting individuals with persistent mental illness and substance use disorders. We work tirelessly to create a culture and environment in which recovery and wellness are possible.</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall direction, supervision, coordination and evaluation of the program for which the coordinator is assigned to. The Rite of Passage Program serves Young Adults- (ages 18-25), in collaboration with the Southeastern Mental Health Authority. The Program Coordinator will also perform assigned administrative duties, create and organize employee schedules, monitor and evaluate employee performance and lead team members in alignment with the agency's mission, vision and values.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee efficient operations of program including, but not limited to, building/office maintenance, drills, vehicle maintenance, timely admission and discharge planning, and overall adherence to program budget. </li><li>Effectively plans, designs, and implements new programming, activities and skill-building groups. </li><li>Maintains ongoing relationships with the Southeastern Mental Health Authority (SMHA), local school systems, community centers, SCSI multi-disciplinary teams, as well as other community network providers. </li><li>Effectively assesses outcome measurement, program evaluation, person served satisfaction and initiates changes based on results. Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing data to complete biennial program evaluation, respond to DMHAS outcomes and completion of surveys. </li><li>Consistently ensures adequate scheduling and coverage of personnel as required. </li><li>Provides adequate supervision and implements accountability standards among all reporting staff. </li><li>Conducts a monthly staff meeting and monthly client house meeting. </li><li>Oversee efficient hiring, orientation, initial and ongoing training of staff. </li><li>Provide regular supervision to reporting staff; conducts performance evaluations; progressive discipline as necessary. </li><li>Manages to the agency's Key Performance Indicators for staff. </li><li>Maintains awareness of and implements best practices, emerging research, and new potentials in youth development for a vulnerable population who have experienced trauma, substance abuse, homelessness, and involvement with the foster care and juvenile justice systems. </li><li>Oversees and collaborates with SMHA on referrals, admissions and network bed censes. </li><li>Assures attendance at clinical meetings to provide input around client issues. </li><li>Demonstrates understanding of SCSI's integrated service delivery system and collaboration with the AXS Social Rehabilitation Program, as well as available network resources. </li><li>Develops quality relationships with external landlords and housing resources within the community. </li><li>Participate as a member of the Manager on Call. </li><li>Complete weekly state Utilization Management Review. </li><li>Represent the agency as a member of the Management Team. </li><li>Provides support and cross-coverage for other Program Coordinators. </li><li>All other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and climb stairs. The employee frequently is required to walk, talk and/or hear; Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes; Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include the ability to adjust focus.</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>A minimum of an Associates Degree in Human Services, or other related field; a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a human services related field, additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree at management's discretion; a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory/administrative experience is required; knowledge of evidence-based practices within the field of mental health/co-occurring disorders; proficient use in the use of Microsoft Office and other web-based systems; excellent written and oral communication skills. Current valid driver's license and vehicle available for use during the workday required; CPR/First Aid certified or eligible.</p> <p>Sound Community Services, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
