This nine-week program will be fully in-person and expose interns to the day-to-day activities of an Analyst in Portfolio Management.</p> <p>The Portfolio Management team is responsible for the implementation of Dimensional's investment philosophy. Portfolios are structured to target sources of higher expected return that have been identified and vetted by academia and Dimensional's research team. Portfolio Management is responsible for the daily oversight and management of Dimensional's portfolios and implements our investment philosophy across all our investment solutions. Our portfolio managers achieve this exposure by implementing a daily and systematic portfolio management process. In addition to overseeing and enhancing this process, portfolio managers also interact with current and prospective clients.</p> <p>The Portfolio Management team ensures that Dimensional's portfolios deliver consistent and efficient exposure to the dimensions of higher expected returns, as identified by the greatest minds in modern financial economics. Portfolio Management interacts and collaborates closely with several departments including Trading, Research, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and the Global Client Group to ensure a superior investment experience for our clients.</p> <p>The Internship involves extensive projects that improve the way we implement investment strategies. Interns will work side by side with Portfolio Managers to make thoughtful, data-informed enhancements, and will have the opportunity to present their findings to senior management. In addition to project work, interns take on responsibilities similar to full-time analysts, supporting the daily needs of the Portfolio Management strategy desks and broader investment team.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum GPA of 3.2; pursuing an undergraduate or specialized Master's degree with an expected graduation date of December 2024 - June 2025 </li><li>Interest in financial markets and passionate about improving the investment experience </li><li>Excellent quantitative problem-solving and analytic skills </li><li>Strong communication skills (verbal and written) </li><li>Detail-oriented, organized, highly motivated, and able to work independently and in a team environment </li><li>Self-starter who can manage multiple projects and meeting deadlines </li><li>Proficiency in MS Excel </li><li>Knowledge of databases (MS Access, SQL) preferred </li><li>Knowledge of Python preferred </li><li>Ability to absorb and apply information from formal and informal learning experiences </li><li>Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship </li></ul> <p>#LI-Office</p> <p>Dimensional offers a variety of programs to help take care of you, your family, and your career, including comprehensive benefits, educational initiatives, and special celebrations of our history, culture, and growth.</p> <p>It is the policy of the Company to provide equal opportunity for all employees and applicants.
