Founded in 1973, Bain has 57 offices in 36 countries, and its deep expertise and client roster cross every industry and economic sector.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>Bain's Senior Manager, Practice Marketing, will act as a strategic thought partner, working closely with the practice area leadership team to develop, drive and refine a comprehensive capability marketing strategy that supports the practice's commercial objectives. They will lead a team to deploy the strategy, including managing direct team members as well as close collaboration with Bain's core marketing centers of excellence as needed e.g. editorial, branding, CRM/email, PR, digital campaigns, events. The Senior Manager will identify, prioritize and project manage the practice marketing activities. The role will also require close collaboration with the industry and account marketing functions. The role will report to the Senior Director, Practice Marketing.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:</p> <p>Develop capability marketing plan and budget in partnership with practice leadership that increases awareness and credibility for Bain and our core solutions, in support of commercial objectives</p> <ul> <li>Synthesize capability commercial priorities - including CXO target audience(s) as well as sectors, solutions, and company segments with momentum and growth potential </li><li>Understand competitive and market position, leveraging internal data and intelligence as well external market research </li><li>Translate commercial priorities and competitive intel into a marketing strategy, plan and calendar grounded in clear marketing objectives and measures of success. Plan should include as relevant: </li><li>Develop prioritize content plan in partnership with practice stakeholders and Editorial team, balancing commercial IP priorities with foundational and 'top of funnel' brand building marketing needs (eg, search and GEO discoverability) </li><li>Own distribution strategy, defining channel mix across owned, paid and earned channels as well as digital and live (ie, in-person event) touchpoints, partnering with Distribution Studio teams </li><li>Use expertise guide marketing calendar - including sequencing of activities and relevant internal/external events </li><li>Own global budget and annual planning process </li></ul> <p>Act as a trusted advisor and single point of contact to practice leadership, building deep relationships by establishing credibility, demonstrating commitment, and working collaboratively toward shared goals</p> <ul> <li>Bring stakeholders along in development of plans </li><li>Understand and adapt to evolving needs, bringing new ideas and creative solutions and driving outside the box thinking where it's needed </li><li>When needed, pragmatically position tradeoffs and cost-value considerations for decisions to invest time, budget and resources in marketing efforts </li></ul> <p>Spearhead development and delivery of highly impactful, cross-channel marketing campaigns in close collaboration with cross-functional marketing teams globally</p> <ul> <li>As project manager for major practice campaign, keeping content and campaign information updated and available to cross-functional teams to enable visibility and collaboration </li><li>Develop events strategy, including recommended Bain-hosted client events and identification of third party conferences and how we should engage with them (i.e. sponsorship, speaking engagement, etc); includes invites, follow-ups, etc. </li><li>Define and deploy email marketing strategy, including selecting content and recommending framing for key audiences. </li><li>Measure the results of campaigns and major deliverables through both analytics and direct feedback; present actionable insights to refine strategies. </li><li>Create communications to promote marketing activities to key internal audiences - including industry and account marketing and market reputation (local marketing) teams globally </li></ul> <p>Ensure "always on" digital foundations are in place and managed/updated as needed for discoverability and commercial credibility, including practice web pages, content libraries, and key partner bios - working with practice marketing team members and Web/Editorial teams to execute</p> <p>Own performance analytics for campaigns and against marketing objectives for the year, optimizing in real-time when possible, and incorporate learnings into future recommendations and plans</p> <p>Play an active role in our team</p> <ul> <li>Participate in team experience sharing and skill building, sharing learnings with broader practice marketing team </li><li>Contribute to continuous process improvement by providing constructive feedback and working hand in hand with colleagues to problem solve. </li><li>Actively embrace the use of new tools, including GenAI, to support and improve overall team efficiency. </li><li>Be a flexible and adaptable team member to support new projects and team needs as they arise. </li></ul> <p>OUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of ten years+ of experience in a professional services environment, with experience in B2B marketing</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with developing and executing marketing strategies</p> </li><li> <p>Excellence in senior stakeholder management</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to impact and influence change while collaborating effectively internally and externally with individuals at all levels, especially with leadership team</p> </li><li> <p>Adept at resolving conflicting points of view and leading stakeholders toward tradeoffs / solutions</p> </li><li> <p>Confidence and competence at defining the cadence and communications needed to bring stakeholders along in marketing plan build and complex decision making</p> </li><li> <p>Innate creativity and outstanding talent in verbal and written communications to senior executive audiences</p> </li><li> <p>Must be in tune with the global marketplace and be able to interpret trends and analyze impact while incorporating new ideas</p> </li><li> <p>Fluency in spoken and written English a requirement</p> </li><li> <p>Confidence and professionalism to influence partners with logic, conviction and persuasion</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent project management skills</p> </li><li> <p>Undergraduate degree in communications or business; MBA preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>U.S. Compensation Information</p> <p>Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain's best in class benefits package (details listed below).</p> <p>Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles.
