<p>The Title Ill Program Director will lead and manage Mayland Community College's project with a focus on Strengthening Student Success and Engagement through improved student support services and will guide it to full implementation with desired outcomes. This position is part of a 5-year grant that began in 2023.</p> <p>In conjunction with the Management Team and Title III-affiliated employees and supervisors, the Program Director will provide oversight of the grant to ensure it is meeting its requirements and goals. The Program Director and Management Team will meet quarterly to assess the project and will consult with the President for permissions, guidance, clarification, and clearance where needed. At a minimum, the President will receive monthly updates on the project status.</p> <p>The Program Director will work with the Student Services Department and Title Ill-affiliated employees such as Retention Specialist, Help Desk Technician, Lab Instructors, and faculty overseeing the Group Study/Tutoring site for usage data and improvement outcomes. Data will be collected each semester, and all groups will share their data with the Title Ill Program Director and Project Management Team, allowing assessment of the effectiveness of project activities.</p> <p>HOURS: 10 hours per week (occasionally up to 30 hours per week required)</p> <p>NOTE: This position will remain open until filled; however, for best consideration, application and supporting documents should be submitted by 08/29/2025. </p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide oversight of the Title Ill Grant. </p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for convening and leading meetings with Title Ill staff and supervisors.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the Title Ill Grant Budget. Request and make adjustments to the budget as necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee maintenance of the food pantry; assist with purchases if needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Process expenditures for Title Ill emergency funds.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure Title III positions are filled and functioning properly.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain monthly time and effort/financial tracking.</p> </li><li> <p>Compete all required reports for the Department of Education, NC Community College System, and for the College.</p> </li><li> <p>Collect, track and properly maintain documentation and data related to Title Ill grant goals and ensure that objectives are being met. Make suggestions for continuous improvement to ensure effectiveness.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with Watermark software system.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the Title III construction project is carried out as planned: 1) finalize plans to suit the needs of the college and Title III program; 2) ensure those plans meet the federal guidelines such as the Build America, Buy America Act; 3) ensure time frames are met; 4) ensure expenses are allocated appropriately.</p> </li><li> <p>Create and maintain a retention plan for the college that incorporates proven research and best practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide monthly updates/status reports to the College President, Vice President of Instruction, Director of Resource Development, and the Dean of Students.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain communication with and submit required paperwork to the Federal Program Officer.</p> </li></ul> <p>OTHER DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain professional and technical knowledge through reading professional publications and attending workshops and conferences as appropriate. </li><li>Maintain cross-training with Title Ill staff. </li><li>Serve on various college committees. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education: Bachelors Degree Business Administration or Education.</p> <p>Experience: Experience as a grants manager and/or project director preferred. Previous work with Title Ill responsibility preferred.</p> <p>License(s) Required: NC Driver's License</p> <p>Masters in Business Administration or Education.</p>
