Be part of a team that attracts future students and lives our mission: "We build a prosperous community by building a technically skilled workforce-one student at a time."</p> <p>The Marketing Assistant provides hands-on support to the Marketing team at Ogden-Weber Technical College. This entry-level role is designed for individuals who are interested in gaining real-world marketing experience and building their portfolio in a professional setting. The role will assist with social media, content creation, event promotion, photography, video, and basic design tasks. This is a learning opportunity where creativity, attention to detail, and enthusiasm are highly valued.</p> <p>This position reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager.</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Marketing Team in creating content for the college's social media channels. </li><li>Help take photos and short videos at campus events and around campus for use in marketing materials and social media. </li><li>Support the team by hanging posters, delivering flyers, and updating digital screens with announcements and promotions. </li><li>Provide basic help with event coverage by taking photos, videos, or helping with setup and materials. </li><li>Organize and update the college's photo and video library. </li><li>Assist in collecting stories or information about students, programs, and events to be shared on social media or the website. </li><li>Help make simple edits to flyers, graphics, or other materials. </li><li>Perform other basic tasks as assigned to support the marketing team. </li><li>High school diploma, or equivalent. </li><li>Education, training, or experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Journalism, Advertising, Event Planning, Digital Design, or Social Media Management - or current enrollment in a related field of study. </li><li>Ability to develop collaborative relationships. </li><li>Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to organize resources and set priorities in a fast-paced team setting. </li><li>Demonstrated customer service skills. </li><li>Ability to work under pressure with multiple projects and deadlines. </li></ul> <p>Helpful Experience or Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Spanish-speaking proficiency desirable. </li><li>Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier, Adobe Express). </li><li>Photography and/or videography skills. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Work is a combination of sitting comfortably at a desk and physical exertion which includes walking for long distances and standing for extended time periods. </li><li>Ability to stand, walk over rough surfaces, bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 30 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time. </li><li>Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc. </li><li>This position may include occasional travel to community events, which may include weekends and evenings. </li><li>This position occasionally works in an outdoor environment with exposure to weather related heat and cold, rain, wind, and related elements. </li></ul> <p>Work Hours: </p> <p>This is a part-time role (up to 30 hours/week) with a flexible schedule to be coordinated during regular business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
