As a NICET-certified electrical testing, engineering, controls, and automation company, Powercor controls and engineering consultants support organizations providing expert services in electrical testing, system design, electrical engineering, systems integration, commissioning, equipment servicing, and retrofit services.</p> <p>The Powercor team is seeking a best-in-class Electrical Superintendent, willing to roll up their sleeves and exude a passion for the field!</p> <p>What you will do…</p> <ul> <li>Plan, organize, and oversee daily operations of job crew employees. </li><li>Recruit, train, and, when necessary, terminate employees in accordance with company policies </li><li>Stay well-informed of project plans, specifications, and contract scope </li><li>Attend coordination meetings and provide relevant information as required </li><li>Monitor and document job progress using appropriate tracking forms </li><li>Communicate current and accurate information to the assigned Lead through RFIs, memos, and other documentation </li><li>Compile and submit end-of-job deliverables, including QA/QC reports and as-built drawings </li><li>Supervise and guide crew performance throughout the project </li><li>Cleary communicate company policies and procedures to job crew members </li><li>Apply knowledge of National Electrical Codes as needed </li><li>Manage tool control and inventory on the job site </li><li>Ensure the job site is thoroughly cleaned at the end of each workday </li><li>Enforce compliance with safety standards set by the company and regulatory agencies </li><li>Monitor employee work hours, approving time, as necessary </li><li>Participate in minute meetings with clients, GCs, trade partners and coordinate, explain, and relay information </li></ul> <p>What you will need to succeed…</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma, GED, or equivalent </li><li>Ability to keep the project on schedule </li><li>Ability to use software like Procore, Hammertech, Bluebeam, etc. </li><li>Adaptability and problem-solving skills </li><li>Great communication skills with Foreman, crew, trade partners </li><li>Proven ability to operate equipment safely and proficiently in diverse work environments </li><li>Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting, walking, climbing, bending, and leading for extended periods </li><li>Willingness to work in varying weather conditions (hot and cold) and at heights </li><li>Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) and EPMS (Electrical Power Management Systems) </li><li>Knowledge of raceway pathways, cable pulls, device and panel terminations, and installation of BMS/EPMS panel and devices </li><li>Experience in Data Center BMS/EPMS systems and critical facility environments </li><li>Skilled in bending and installing rigid conduit </li><li>Proficient in setting up and pulling wire and cable </li><li>Experience managing multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously </li><li>Ability to effectively coordinate with subcontractors and clients </li><li>Understanding of BMS/EPMS and mechanical schematics </li><li>Ability to read and interpret tape measures, blueprint schematics, technical drawings, work orders, instructions formulas, and processing charts </li><li>Familiarity with Data Center BMS/EPMS devices, cabling, terminations, etc. </li><li>Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards </li><li>Experience installing conduits using hand, mechanical, or hydraulic benders </li><li>Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA and safety regulations </li><li>Committed to following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) policies </li></ul> <p>Physical demands…</p> <p>The physical demands described within are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently, with lifting required from knee to shoulder height and various levels </li><li>Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions </li><li>Ability to carry and transport up to 60 pounds for distances of up to 20 feet </li><li>Standing for extended periods is required, with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, and pushing/pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, or wet, and may contain fumes or odors </li></ul> <p>What you'll love about us…</p> <p>MKD and Powercor employees are our companies' greatest assets.
