<p>WFHS Career and Technical Education Coordinator JobID: 415</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>High School Teaching</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>5/19/2026</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>West Feliciana High School</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>07/01/2026</p> <p>Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Job Title: Career and Technical Education Coordinator</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree or higher with Louisiana teacher certification </li><li>Minimum of five years of effective teaching </li></ul> <p>Employment Details:</p> <ul> <li>Full-Time Position (240 day/12 month employee) </li><li>Health Insurance, Benefits, TRSL Retirement </li><li>Salary is Based on Experience (Teacher Salary Schedule with additional days paid at daily rate of pay) </li></ul> <p>JOB GOAL: To assist and support the school principal in providing vision, culture, and instructional leadership that efficiently and effectively results in increased student achievement in the Carer and Technical Education Programs. To lead the district in creating an organization of one, increasing student achievement and establishing school community relationships. Louisiana Leader Rubric Domains and Indicators will be used for Leader evaluations in conjunction with measures of student growth. Measures of student growth will be aligned with the Louisiana Accountability System.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Observe Career and Technical Education Program teachers and provide feedback on instruction regularly </li><li>Assist the school principal in overseeing daily operations and managing the overall functioning of the Career and Technical Education Program and facilities, including but not limited to scheduling, facilities management, and resource allocation, effectively as measured by the leader evaluation rubric, and in accordance with federal and state regulations. </li><li>Collaborate with school principal and other administrators to review, draft, examine, recommend, and implement school policies, procedures, and programs for the Career and Technical Education Program. </li><li>Assist in developing and managing the school budget, allocating resources effectively to support instructional and operational needs; monitor expenditures and coordinate the procurement of supplies, equipment, and instructional materials </li><li>Mentor and support new Career and Technical Education teachers and staff members providing guidance and resources for professional growth </li><li>Participate in the preparation of necessary disciplinary documents and corresponding disciplinary processes for students and staff part of the Career and Technical Education Programs. </li><li>Coordinate and supervise Career and Technical Education Program events related to the profession including but not limited to: faculty meetings, open house, family nights, graduation, college and career fairs, awards programs, co- and extracurricular events and other types of related activities as part of job duties associated with the school building leader. </li><li>Ensure submission of lesson plans and alignment to standards for the Career and Technical Education Program Courses. </li><li>Supervise instruction of students, ensure timely submission and integrity of grades and parent collaboration when appropriate in regards to the Career and Technical Education Programs. </li><li>Supervise students prior to school/morning arrival process and after school/afternoon dismissal process </li><li>Facilitate training sessions and professional development when needed. </li><li>Attend and lead, when appropriate, meetings generally association with the instruction of students including but not limited to PLCs, IEP, SBLC, evaluation, observation, and discipline meetings/hearings </li><li>Collaborate with school personnel in gathering and utilizing data on a case by case basis, and assists in planning strategies for modifying inappropriate student behavior. </li><li>Schedules conferences with parents of students in the Career and Technical Programs, courses, or pathways as needed. </li><li>Plans, develops, and implements a comprehensive program for students in career and technical education. </li><li>Develops and implements standards, policies, and procedures related to career and technical education; develops short and long range goals for the division; monitors the progress of various services; makes recommendations for changes. </li><li>Works with counselors and testing coordinator to meet the needs of students and tracks student progress toward graduation requirements. </li><li>Collaborates with local and regional businesses to create programs that meet their workforce needs. </li><li>Provides tours and showcases the programs available; highlights programs and student achievement on social media and other forms of media </li><li>Assists in the preparation of budgets for the programs; coordinates with other departments or agencies to ensure maximum services; monitors expenditures of approved budgets. </li><li>Coordinates with technical and community colleges to offer courses, programs, and credentials. </li><li>Fulfill duties traditionally expected of those in the education profession. </li><li>Perform any duty, not specifically assigned, as deemed necessary by the assigning authority in order to maintain continuity where needed. </li></ul>
