<p>As a Tool & Die Specialist, you will support die-set maintenance and tooling changes for production in the Stamping department. The ideal candidates will possess excellent craftsmanship, the ability to troubleshoot, and a commitment to safety and production goals.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and tooling changes for production die-sets</p> </li><li> <p>Support the design and implementation of tooling changes to accommodate part modifications</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and manage die-set preventative maintenance (PM) system, including scheduling and updating work instructions</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot defects and support the preparation of die check sheets and trial procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain die-set spare parts lists, ensuring parts are stocked and readily available</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement systems to reduce defects, improve productivity, and minimize downtime</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate on Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify risks and create control plans for production dies</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of hands-on experience with Class A Tool and Die Manufacturing and working in automotive die maintenance and repair. Apprenticeship certification in Tool & Die or equivalent experience</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with high-speed die-sets, including tooling material selection, and knowledge of CNC die surface machining, welding, and spotting</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles (waste elimination, continuous improvement, Just-in-Time, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to interpret dimensional inspection results (CMM, checking fixture, or vision systems)</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and strong analytical skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and in a team, managing tight deadlines and competing priorities</p> </li><li> <p>Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal</p> </li></ul> <p>Essential Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day on varied and uneven terrain including concrete surfaces</p> </li><li> <p>Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch,?twist?and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to frequently and repetitively lift/carry 30 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. infrequently</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently and repetitively push heavy carts and dollies</p> </li><li> <p>The ability to carry up to 20 lbs. up and down flights of stairs multiple times a day</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to drive cars & trucks back and forth while being outside of the factory for up to 12 hours/day</p> </li><li> <p>Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures while bearing hand tools on their person. For example, climbing ladders while wearing a tool belt</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to identify issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and?hearing</p> </li><li> <p>Follow all safety rules and guidelines including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing the above-mentioned activities</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to correctly wear respiratory protection such as half and full-face respirators, if required, for up to 12 hours/day</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to perform the above-mentioned activities while working in outdoor weather conditions</p> </li></ul>
