We activate Kroger's first-party data to enable precision audience creation, segmentation, and closed-loop measurement-advancing media accountability, performance analytics, and campaign optimization.</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>We're seeking a Data Engineer to join our Audience and Measurement Capabilities team. This role combines expertise in data warehousing, machine learning, AI and problem solving within a retail media network context. You'll help scale advanced data science solutions while applying SOLID principles and CI/CD best practices to deliver impactful, data-driven capabilities</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop, and maintain scalable and reusable data pipelines and data storage solutions. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions. </li><li>Implement and optimize data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence and analytics. </li><li>Apply machine learning concepts to enhance data processing and analysis capabilities at scale. </li><li>Build scaled data science enablement tools to support engineering processes and empower data scientists in their analyses. </li><li>Ensure code quality and maintainability by adhering to SOLID principles. </li><li>Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes. </li><li>Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. </li><li>Work collaboratively with nearshore and offshore resources to achieve scaled delivery </li><li>Continue individual development by staying up to date in the latest industry trends and technologies </li></ul> <p>Technical Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working on a collaborative team contributing to shared code bases </li><li>Advanced proficiency in Python /PySpark/SQL </li><li>1+ year(s) experience working with one of the major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) - Azure preferred </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Azure including Azure Data Services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Snowflake </li><li>Strong understanding of SOLID principles, medallion architecture and best practices in software development. </li><li>Knowledge of API principles and best practices, including RESTful design and integration. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. </li><li>Proven experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and data pipeline processes at fortune 50 scale. </li><li>Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in data engineering. </li><li>Familiarity with AI concepts and tools. </li><li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. </li><li>Experience with Agile ways of working including refinement. </li><li>Familiarity with media audience creation and measurement is a plus. </li></ul> <p>PLEASE NOTE:</p> <p>Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United Stated and with the Kroger Family of Companies (i.e. H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status).</p> <p>#LI-SSS</p>
