Our functional architecture team is responsible for suspension, steering, brakes, wheels/tires, and chassis systems. We're looking for an advanced chassis engineer to join the underbody systems architecture team.</p> <p>Advanced Chassis Design Engineer</p> <p>What you'll do...</p> <ul> <li>Create advanced design concepts of chassis components and systems (brakes, steering, suspension, wheels/tires/jacks) for Ford global vehicles and next-gen electrified architectures. </li><li>Lead new component design / package maturation in CAD. Examples are stampings, castings, forgings, coil springs, shock absorbers, bushings, ball joints, fasteners, active suspension systems, brake systems, and steering systems. </li><li>Oversee architecture system integration & installation, working with body, electrical, powertrain, vehicle operations, and vehicle architecture. </li><li>Perform strength analysis for various chassis components. </li><li>Perform chassis system analysis for kinematics and compliances, working with vehicle dynamics and NVH attribute teams. </li><li>Early supplier engagement/interface for advanced concepts. </li></ul> <p>What you'll do...</p> <ul> <li>Create advanced design concepts of chassis components and systems (brakes, steering, suspension, wheels/tires/jacks) for Ford global vehicles and next-gen electrified architectures. </li><li>Lead new component design / package maturation in CAD.
