<p>Job Title: Electrical Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems under the guidance of a professional engineer. This role involves working on electrical distribution, grounding, backup power, general power distribution, lighting design and control, as well as fire alarm and lightning protection systems. The candidate will perform system design calculations, analyze electrical distribution options, and prepare design documents detailing power, lighting, and fire alarm system drawings.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design electrical systems under the guidance of a Senior Engineer. </li><li>Perform system design calculations and analyze electrical distribution options. </li><li>Review and learn relevant building codes and standards. </li><li>Prepare design documents detailing power, lighting, and fire alarm system drawings. </li><li>Coordinate work with architects and engineers of other disciplines. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. </li><li>4+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer. </li><li>Proficient in AutoCAD. </li><li>Experience preparing schematics, one-line diagrams, contract documents, and reports. </li><li>Experience designing electrical distribution, grounding, backup power, general power distribution, lighting design and control, fire alarm, and lightning protection systems. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Revit. </li><li>Professional Engineer (P.E) license is a plus. </li><li>Self-motivated and enjoys collaborative problem-solving. </li><li>Good planning, organizational, and communication skills. </li><li>Interest in sustainable and innovative approaches to design. </li><li>Experience with infrastructure projects, including healthcare, data centers, central plants, and municipal projects. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position offers a hybrid schedule, with three days a week in the Mineola office.
