This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in education, no prior experience is necessary, and training is provided.</p> <p>Paraprofessionals work under the supervision of both classroom teachers and school leaders to support instruction, manage classroom behavior, and maintain a productive learning environment. This role is instrumental in helping students meet their academic and behavioral goals.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Collaborate with classroom teachers on daily instructional planning</p> </li><li> <p>Support classroom management using school-wide discipline strategies</p> </li><li> <p>Provide assistance during group and independent work sessions</p> </li><li> <p>Reinforce academic and behavioral expectations, including posture, engagement, and attentiveness</p> </li><li> <p>Lead small instructional groups in reading, math, writing, or spelling</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor student progress and provide targeted support</p> </li><li> <p>Grade assignments and assist students in correcting work as directed by the teacher</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with supervision during arrival, lunch/recess, and dismissal</p> </li><li> <p>Attend mandatory school events such as Back-to-School Night</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in school-sponsored professional development</p> </li><li> <p>Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by school leadership</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma required</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to collect data, identify challenges, and develop appropriate responses</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of or willingness to learn school policies and relevant regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment and contribute to student success</p> </li></ul> <p>This is a full-time, annual appointment with a starting salary of $35,000.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Mystic Valley is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
