These assemblies vary in size and require the use of a variety of mechanical, electrical and manual tools. The employee must be able to read and understand blue prints and collect the proper materials needed to start the assembly process.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Utilize proper tools to align, drill and secure components with correct bolts and torque to specifications </li><li>Cut, fit, bend, and adjust parts for fit or function as desired </li><li>Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure </li><li>Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures </li><li>Ability to perform all required assembly operations in designated work area </li><li>Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies </li><li>Assemble parts correctly </li><li>Drill holes for wires, hoses and small parts </li><li>Operate a torch or grinder to cut and shape parts </li><li>Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements </li><li>Install various truck accessories (decals, stencils, trim, carpet, flowering) </li><li>Lift and stack completed subassemblies and parts up to 65lbs </li><li>Train and work in various areas of assembly in response to production demands </li><li>Follow verbal and written work instructions </li><li>Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards </li><li>Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations </li><li>Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills </li><li>Regular attendance required </li><li>All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>6 months related experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications to complete Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read blueprints </li><li>Demonstrated experience using various small and pneumatic hand tools </li><li>Requires the use of simple arithmetic and measuring instruments such as caliper, scale, and measuring tape </li><li>One-year certificate from college or technical school </li></ul> <p>Other Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>All positions require the ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. Detailed physical job analysis available upon request. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus </li><li>Sense of sound is required </li><li>Sense of balance is required </li><li>Limb and finger dexterity is required </li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods of time </li><li>Ability to perform twisting, turning, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling motions </li><li>Ability to lift at least up to 35 pounds; 36 pounds to 59 pounds requires 2-person lift; greater than 59 pounds requires mechanical lift </li><li>Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)-steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, vest </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Working conditions will be inside and outside where temperatures will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold for extended periods of time.
