<p>Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a qualified Welder/Fabricator for a long-term, day shift role in NW Portland, OR. The person in this position will support a job shop specializing in large and intricate industrial machines weighing up to 100,000 lbs.</p> <p>Pay: $28-$38/hour</p> <p>Welder/Fabricator Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ensure all safety procedures are followed, and the proper PPE is in place</p> </li><li> <p>Weld with Hardwire MIG, Fluxcore, TIG, and/or Stick as each project requires</p> </li><li> <p>Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Use grinders, torches, saws and other fabrication tools to prepare parts for fit-up</p> </li><li> <p>Tack weld assemblies and measure to ensure dimensional accuracy</p> </li><li> <p>Final weld parts in all postures and positions</p> </li><li> <p>Perform First Article Inspections.</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot and resolve problems with fit up as they occur</p> </li></ul> <p>Welder/Fabricator Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must have knowledge in rigging and crane safety</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of 5 years' experience with MIG, TIG, and Oxy-Fuel torch</p> </li><li> <p>Must have strong attention to detail</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essential</p> </li><li> <p>Must have a positive and professional attitude</p> </li><li> <p>Available to work weekends and overtime when needed</p> </li><li> <p>Capable of standing for extended periods of time</p> </li><li> <p>Non-ferrous welding experience is a plus</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li> <p>$28-$38/hour based on experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Medical</p> </li><li> <p>401(k) with company matching.</p> </li><li> <p>Paid Sick Leave</p> </li><li> <p>Paid Holidays</p> </li></ul>
