<p>Hotel Manager</p> <p>Gamble Sands Resort - Brewster, WA</p> <p>Troon Managed Resort</p> <p>Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 DOE</p> <p>Reports To: General Manager</p> <p>Supervises: Front Desk, Housekeeping, Night Audit</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Hotel Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational execution, and guest experience of the lodging operation at Gamble Sands Resort. This role oversees all hotel departments and ensures service standards align with Gamble Sands brand expectations and Troon management standards.</p> <p>The Hotel Manager partners closely with Golf Operations, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and Sales to deliver a seamless, high-quality resort experience while maintaining operational efficiency and strong team leadership.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Guest Experience & Service Standards</p> <ul> <li>Lead a culture of hospitality focused on exceptional guest service </li><li>Ensure consistent service delivery aligned with Gamble Sands and Troon standards </li><li>Handle guest issues and service recovery with professionalism and authority </li><li>Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities for improvement </li></ul> <p>Hotel Operations</p> <ul> <li>Oversee daily operations of Front Desk, Housekeeping, Night Audit, and Guest Services </li><li>Manage room inventory, arrivals, departures, and special guest requests </li><li>Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and room readiness </li></ul> <p>Coordinate with Maintenance on preventative care and room issues</p> <p>Leadership & Team Development</p> <ul> <li>Hire, train, coach, and develop hotel leadership and hourly team members </li><li>Establish clear SOPs, expectations, and accountability across departments </li><li>Conduct performance reviews and support staff development </li><li>Build effective schedules balancing service levels and labor efficiency </li></ul> <p>Financial & Administrative Management</p> <ul> <li>Manage hotel labor and departmental expenses within approved budgets </li><li>Monitor payroll, purchasing, and inventory controls </li><li>Support forecasting and revenue optimization efforts with the General Manager </li><li>Ensure compliance with Troon operational and reporting standards </li></ul> <p>Cross-Department Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate with Golf Operations and Food & Beverage on group stays and peak periods </li><li>Support Sales and Events with room blocks, VIP arrangements, and group execution </li><li>Participate in resort leadership meetings and planning </li></ul> <p>Compliance & Risk Management</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with Troon standards, safety protocols, and local regulations </li><li>Oversee key control, cash handling, and audit procedures </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of hotel or resort management experience </li><li>Experience leading Front Desk and Housekeeping operations required </li><li>Resort or destination property experience strongly preferred </li><li>Strong understanding of hotel labor management and cost controls </li><li>Proven leadership in fast-paced or seasonal environments </li><li>Excellent communication and problem-solving skills </li><li>Experience within a managed-property environment (Troon or similar) preferred </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Full-time, on-site role </li><li>Requires weekends, holidays, and flexible scheduling during peak seasons </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Salary: $80,000-$90,000 DOE </li><li>Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits through Troon </li><li>Resort privileges including golf, dining, and merchandise benefits </li><li>Paid time off and holidays per Troon policy </li></ul>
