<p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Under direct supervision, performs activities associated with drug distribution, ordering and control for medication dispensing. Direction and guidance are performed by a manager/supervisor, Pharmacist. The Lead Pharmacy Technician assists management with overseeing and monitoring the team workflow and productivity, perform needs assessments for process efficiency, and takes ownership of escalation and high priority actions.</p> <p>Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provides operational workflow oversight of other pharmacy technicians and addresses issues that may impact metrics. </li><li>Serves as a subject matter expert in all aspects of pharmacy automation and provides guidance on operational duties to other technicians. </li><li>Responsible for training all pharmacy technicians on our policies and procedures and monitoring the efficiency of the entire technician team. </li><li>Supports staff development opportunities by monitoring work performance and offering real-time feedback. Assists leadership with performance management processes. </li><li>Responsible for maintaining and monitoring Kronos for a cohort of lab technicians and coordinating this information with Manager of Pharmacy Services. </li><li>Answers questions from Technicians and from internal customers and determines what needs to be escalated to the next level of management. </li><li>Provides feedback and suggestions to management regarding improving client satisfaction and outcomes. </li><li>Performs Pharmacy Technician duties when necessary or as appropriate. </li></ul> <p>The above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions</p> <p>REQUIRED</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>HS diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Certification as a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician is required. </li><li>Must possess and maintain a current Pharmacy Technician License or Registration from the respective and applicable State Pharmacy Board. </li></ul> <p>Work Experience and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy technician experience required. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively and professionally through written, verbal, and interpersonal skills as applied when interacting with employees, clients, or agency representatives; successfully conveying and exchanging information in a positive manner. </li><li>Proven ability to evaluate and analyze problems or tasks from multiple perspectives; adaptively employ problem solving methods to find creative or novel solutions; and use logical, systematic, and sequential processes to solve problems. </li><li>Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities without sacrificing quality. Detail oriented and organized. </li><li>Excellent typing/data entry accuracy with good speed. </li><li>Proficient computer skills to navigate proprietary and other pharmacy software as well as Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>Ability to compile, code, categorize, calculate, and verify data and accurately count, measure and weigh Rx components. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. </li><li>Understanding of clinical terms and impacts. </li><li>Subject Matter Expert in all aspects of TRHC pharmacy automation to assist and answer any technician operational duties from other staff technicians. </li><li>Proven ability to professionally guide a team and exhibit appropriate leadership competencies while being patient-center focused. </li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills. </li></ul> <p>Other Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Requires standing and/or walking for most of the shift. </li><li>Regularly lifts office and clinical supplies weighing up to five pounds; occasionally lifts or carries up to thirty pounds. May occasionally push/pull when unpacking supplies. Climbs step stool to access supply or filing shelves. Bends when unpacking supplies, filing or retrieving charts and files.
