<p>Summary:</p> <p>The Philanthropy Officer of Annual Giving and Pipeline Development reports to the Director of Development Business and Operations.</p> <p>Leads provides oversight and assesses direct mail marketing strategically focused mailings and pipeline development that generates unrestricted and restricted revenue on behalf of Brown University Health hospitals. Maintains a strong annual fund program while building a long-term culture of philanthropy. This will be done by developing defining and executing a pipeline development strategy to expand Brown University Health hospitals? network of major donors.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Annual Giving:</p> <p>Direct Mail Marketing:</p> <ul> <li>Produce campaigns for each Brown University Health hospital to retain current donors acquire new donors and re-engage lapsed donors. Solicitations include appeal letters newsletters email and online campaigns. </li><li>Coordinate all efforts to support the annual 401Gives online giving campaign in conjunction with United Way. </li><li>Liaison to internal (hospitals? Chief Development Officers Development Communications Development Operations) and external (vendors such as mail house designer list broker) stakeholders. Create timelines and work with stakeholders to stay on target. </li><li>Oversee the creative development process with internal and external stakeholders to build strong response-generating materials. </li><li>Manage data pulls for each campaign utilizing Raiser?s Edge. Create run and update Query?s and Exports to target appropriate audiences. Implement Target Analytics to increase responsiveness to campaigns. </li><li>Develop and pull reports and tracks campaigns? performance. Assess data to improve upon future campaign strategies. </li><li>Create opportunities for stewardship. </li><li>Keep current on best practices. </li><li>Oversee and manage budget for direct mail. </li></ul> <p>Strategically Focused Mail/Mid-Level Giving:</p> <ul> <li>In conjunction with the Direct Mail program develop annual giving strategies and goals. </li><li>Generate mailing lists for unrestricted and/or restricted appeal campaigns. Implement Target Analytics to increase responsiveness to campaigns. </li><li>Collaborate with hospitals? Chief Development Officers and Philanthropy Officers to solicit higher-level or assigned donors for unrestricted support. </li><li>Identify opportunities for service-line fundraising campaigns for restricted support and collaborates with copywriters or generates written copy for appeal letters. </li><li>Oversee the Annual Giving Societies for Rhode Island and Hasbro Children?s hospitals includes solicitation and stewardship strategies. Formulate strategies to expand upon existing hospitals Annual Giving Societies. </li><li>Track appeal performances and progress towards hospitals? goals. </li><li>Provide oversight for efforts related to the annual employee giving campaign. </li></ul> <p>Pipeline Development:</p> <ul> <li>Design and launch a comprehensive pipeline development program for Brown University Health hospitals. Define and execute strategies to identify and expand qualified annual and mid-level donors into the Major Giving pipeline. </li><li>Implement systems designed to move prospects through the pipeline from Direct Mail to Mid-Level to Major Giving. Includes tracking and strategic program management for gifts that provide a pipeline of donors for Brown University Health hospitals? major planned and campaign giving. </li><li>Lead aggressive ?moves management? program. Define processes and procedures for program focus on identification cultivation solicitation and stewardship. </li><li>Collaborate with Prospect Researchers Chief Development Officers Development Associates and Development Operations to document all activities related to moves management and pipeline development for prospects and donors. </li><li>Attend regular pipeline meetings and works with the team to set and meet key metrics. Conduct collaborative portfolio consultation meetings with individual fundraisers use key reporting metrics and their knowledge of individual prospects. </li><li>Utilize Target Analytics to help Chief Development Officers and Philanthropy Officers prioritize portfolios. Manage and maintain Raiser?s Edge reports dashboards tracking systems to monitor fundraising performance prospect analysis and portfolio upkeep. </li><li>Strategize with Prospect Researchers Chief Development Officers and Philanthropy Officers to right-fit and right-size portfolios ensure they are manageable in size and contain the most appropriate prospects. </li><li>Maintain and grow donor revenue portfolio by moving donors through the pipeline and continually add new prospects. </li><li>Regularly evaluate adapt and redesign the pipeline process to build in efficiencies. </li></ul> <p>Other information:</p> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <p>Bachelor?s degree in business administration communications or equivalent field.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Three to Five years of experience. Experience in direct mail processing demonstrating knowledge of effective direct mail fundraising processes high degree of organizational skills and effective interpersonal skills to interact with others both within and outside the organization. Analytical skills to assess effectiveness of campaigns and recommend modifications as appropriate. Experience with Raisers Edge or similar donor databases. Excellent writing and editing skills.
