<p>Purchasing Agent (Contract)</p> <p>Location: Chicago, IL</p> <p>Hiring method: Contract, possible Contract to Hire</p> <p>Hourly pay rate: $30-$35/hour</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our client's team on a contract basis in Chicago. This role is responsible for managing procurement activities, supporting vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing operations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, hands-on ERP/MRP experience, and advanced proficiency in Excel.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage the full purchasing cycle, including requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor coordination</p> </li><li> <p>Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate purchasing records and inventory data within ERP/MRP systems</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor stock levels and collaborate with internal teams on demand planning</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze purchasing data and generate reports using Excel to support decision-making</p> </li><li> <p>Resolve discrepancies related to orders, shipments, and invoices</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (required)</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience (required)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience with ERP and/or MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</p> </li></ul> <p>Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour</p> <p>Search managed by: Marissa Osorio</p> <p>Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
