<p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Mechanical Assembly: Assemble metal enclosures, frames, and mechanical subassemblies for switchgear systems following blueprints, layout drawings, and work instructions. </li><li>Component Installation: Install mechanical hardware such as doors, hinges, panels, gaskets, and brackets using hand and power tools. </li><li>Precision Layout: Use measuring devices such as calipers, rulers, and squares to ensure proper alignment and fit of parts and assemblies. </li><li>Drilling & Modifying: Drill holes, tap threads, and make minor modifications to metal components as needed to support custom builds or design adjustments. </li><li>Quality Assurance: Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, proper fit, and finish; report or correct any defects to meet product quality standards. </li><li>Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete production checklists, assembly records, and other required documentation. </li><li>Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area; adhere to safety procedures when working with tools, equipment, and materials. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>Forklift or Crane experience </li><li>Prior experience in mechanical assembly or fabrication in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and layout diagrams. </li><li>Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and basic shop equipment. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. </li><li>Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment. </li><li>Willingness to follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS</p> <ul> <li>This position may require standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using tools or equipment that require manual dexterity. </li><li>Exposure to noise, sharp tools, and metal components in a manufacturing setting. </li><li>Flexibility to work shifts or overtime as needed. </li></ul> <p>TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul>
