<p>Position Overview:</p> <p>Merrimack College, located 25 miles north of Boston, is undergoing an exciting transformation toward becoming a premier regional research university. Recognized as one of the fastest-growing private nonprofit educational institutions in the U.S., we are committed to excellence in research and teaching.</p> <p>The School of Engineering and Computational Sciences invites applications for a full- time, open-rank, non-tenure track faculty position in Electrical and Computer Engineering, beginning Fall 2025. Our non-tenure track faculty are key to this mission-designing hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for leadership in engineering and technology. As we prepare to launch new Ph.D. programs and expand our research footprint, non-tenure-track faculty have an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to curriculum innovation, student mentorship, and educational impact.</p> <p>Who We Are:</p> <p>The School of Engineering and Computational Sciences is a hub for innovation at Merrimack. We offer ABET-accredited programs in civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering, as well as degrees in computer engineering, computer science, data science, and more. New programs in construction management, information technology, and electromechanical engineering reflect our continued growth. With approximately 400 undergraduates and 200 graduate students, we provide a supportive learning environment. Our faculty engage students through project-based learning, research, and industry partnerships-helping them translate classroom learning into real-world success.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Teach Electrical and Computer Engineering courses </li><li>Assist in cultivating business connections and partnerships in the field and help integrate innovative experiential learning opportunities, such as internships, co-ops, and industry-sponsored projects, into the curriculum. </li><li>Maintain current, industry-aligned course content </li><li>Mentor students academically and professionally </li><li>Hold regular office hours </li><li>Contribute to departmental and institutional service </li><li>Foster a collegial and collaborative environment </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related field); Ph.D. in Engineering Education with B.S. in ECE also considered </li><li>Strong background in ECE disciplines </li><li>Demonstrated or potential excellence in teaching </li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills </li><li>Experience in or commitment to developing industry partnerships, internships/co-ops, or project-based learning opportunities for students. </li></ul> <p>Application Materials Should Include:</p> <ul> <li>Cover Letter </li><li>Resume or Curriculum Vitae </li><li>Teaching philosophy and interests </li><li>Contact information for three professional references </li></ul> <p>Applications will be reviewed immediately and continue until the position is filled.</p> <p>This position is subject to the successful completion of a criminal background check.</p> <p>Work Location</p> <p>This is an on-campus position as employees are essential in order to provide a fully on-campus, residential college experience for our students and the community.</p> <p>Statement on Our Mission</p> <p>Merrimack College is a Catholic Augustinian institution of higher education committed to building unity within our community.
