<p>Are you passionate about patient care and looking to grow in a dynamic, supportive healthcare environment? As a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and well-being. Working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will assist with essential patient care tasks and actively contribute to a positive patient experience.</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL DO:</p> <p>Your day-to-day impact includes:</p> <ul> <li>Performing routine tasks such as measuring and recording vital signs, collecting and labeling specimens including blood draws, and performing venipuncture and chemsticks. </li><li>Assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as directed by the RN. </li><li>Providing compassionate, hands-on personal care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility, and comfort. </li><li>Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to support seamless care delivery. </li><li>Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient environment. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:</p> <p>To qualify, you'll need a high school diploma or equivalent and one of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (titles may vary: Patient Care Technician (PCT), Patient Assistant Technician (PAT)). </li><li>Enrollment in a nursing program with completed Fundamentals of Nursing. </li><li>Foreign trained and licensed RN who has relocated to the United States and does not hold a Michigan RN license </li><li>Medical Assistant program (with or without experience). </li><li>At least one (1) year of experience in an Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Tech, or Patient Assistant Tech, or similar job role. </li><li>Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) preferred </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Complete BLS Heart Saver Certification during orientation. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Physical ability to lift and move patients, supplies, and equipment. </li><li>Prolonged standing, walking, and lifting of patients, supplies, and equipment. </li><li>Works in patient care area environments, which may include exposure to communicable diseases, unpleasant odors, acute patient conditions, potential exposure to infection, and hazardous gases. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Organization: Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital </li><li>Department: HFWB Nursing Administration </li><li>Shift: Night Job </li><li>Union Code: Not Applicable </li></ul>
