Join our committed team and help shape the future we envision.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <ul> <li>Management expectations include recruiting, training, employee development, performance management and evaluation - inclusive of hiring and terminating, coaching, mentoring, monitoring workloads and determining appropriate staffing levels for the administrative staff. </li><li>Takes the lead or actively participates in development and execution of training programs and quality improvement systems, including the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), to assure high quality administrative research support. </li><li>Collaborates with various research administration departments to ensure training is current and consistent across the institution. </li></ul> <p>The Ideal Candidate:</p> <ul> <li>Has extensive grants experience in an academic setting. </li><li>Understands a variety of different grant mechanisms, sponsors and agencies. </li><li>Has supervisory experience. </li><li>Likes to innovate and come up with new ideas. </li><li>Is a team player and enjoys a team based environment. </li><li>Understands grant budgets and how to develop grant budgets. </li><li>Can lend expertise on a daily basis. </li><li>Can guide faculty and staff on the appropriate path forward for complex questions concerning grants/grant guidelines. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: management of administrative staff, active participation with grant submissions, budget justifications, subcontracts, research agreements, and training/guidance/mentorship to administrative staff. </li><li>The position provides guidance to faculty and staff regarding development of grant submissions and assists with complex grant submissions as needed. </li><li>Provides staff recognition and team building opportunities to improve employee engagement. </li><li>Manages financial oversight of division grant operations, including the development of budgets, monitoring monthly expenses, grant management and implementing strategic margin management initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Credentials and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Medical/Scientific, business administration or related field is required. </li><li>Master's Degree in related field is preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of pre/post award related experience in an academic/research setting with at least 2 years of supervisory and/or leadership experience is required. </li><li>Additional years of supervisory experience preferred. </li><li>Preferred SRA/NCURA certification. </li></ul> <p>Moffitt Team Members are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, Retirement, Parental Leave and more.
