The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strength, conditioning, and injury prevention programs for all athletic teams.</p> <p>This position plays a critical role in enhancing athletic performance, reducing injury risk, and promoting overall health and wellness.</p> <p>This position will report directly to the Director of Athletics.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Duty/Responsibility</p> <p>Duties include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Establish schedules for individual weight rooms and provide oversight for weight room facilities. </li><li>Formulate, implement, and monitor policies and procedures. </li><li>Monitor expenses, analyze cost projections and trends, identify resource allocation, and maintain a balanced budget. </li><li>Maintain detailed and current knowledge on all NCAA and University rules and regulations related to field and ensure all those under their scope of responsibility are remaining compliant. </li><li>Work in cooperation with the sports medicine and athletic training staff to help reduce the risk of injury and to help develop return to play plans if injuries occur. </li><li>Devise training plans according to sound scientific principles, supervise training sessions, evaluate athletes, maintain athlete records, and supervise work study and internship students. </li><li>Meet regularly with sport coaches and sports medicine staff to create sound training and rehabilitation plans. </li><li>Conduct an annual needs analysis for each sport team in conjunction with the sport coaches and the team's athletic trainer at the conclusion of each sport season. </li><li>Maintain weight room equipment to ensure clean and safe workspace for student athletes </li><li>In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. </li></ul> <p>% of Time 100%</p> <p>Education/Knowledge</p> <p>Minimum Education Bachelor's Required Licenses/Certification</p> <p>A bachelor's degree is required, along with prior strength & conditioning experience, and a certification through a nationally recognized strength and conditioning program.</p> <p>A master's degree is preferred.</p> <p>Required Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. </li><li>Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure. </li><li>Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships. </li><li>Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions. </li><li>Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience</p> <p>Type of experience Needed Prior strength and conditioning experience.
