<p>JOIN OUR TEAM AND EXPERIENCE ENDLESS CAREER POSSIBILITIES</p> <p>IF YOU ARE AN EXISTING TEAM MEMBER, PLEASE CLICK THE FOLLOWING LINK TO BE TAKEN TO THE INTERNAL CAREER SITE: MOHEGAN INTERNAL CAREER SITE</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>This position is responsible for measuring, cutting and preparing products for baking.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Prepares doughs and batters following written recipes </li><li>Decorates and finishes baked cakes, pies and pastries </li><li>Assembles and fills requisitions for outlets </li></ul> <p>Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains a clean and sanitary work area throughout the entire shift </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>One year of experience as a baker or previous training within the pastry department or at a culinary school </li><li>Previous experience producing baked goods and pastries on a large scale </li></ul> <p>Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:</p> <ul> <li>Good verbal communication skills </li><li>Able to read recipes and follow written directions </li><li>Able to produce baked goods and pastries on a large scale </li><li>Knowledge of safe and efficient operation of kitchen equipment </li></ul> <p>Training Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must have a complete working knowledge of the bake shop and all components </li><li>Understanding of health and sanitation guidelines </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Fast paced kitchen environment </li><li>Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with frequent lifting and bending </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours </li></ul> <p>This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
