<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>12 Hour Night Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>The Respiratory Therapist shall be responsible for the administration of respiratory care offered by the Respiratory Care Department</p> <p>What you will do</p> <ul> <li> <p>The Respiratory Therapist shall be responsible for the administration of respiratory care offered by the Respiratory Care Department</p> </li><li> <p>Function clinically with a considerable amount of independent judgment regarding the delivery of quality patient care</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a technical resource person to the physicians and other health care workers, with regard to current practices in respiratory care</p> </li><li> <p>Sets up, operates and manages patient care on respiratory related equipment such as mechanical ventilators, NIPPV/CPAP, or High Flow Oxygen devices; Manages patients on invasive mechanical ventilation modes (AC, PSV, PC, APRV, Bi-level)</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care, minimum of a two-year Associate's Degree</p> </li><li> <p>Current State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner License</p> </li><li> <p>Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).</p> </li><li> <p>Thorough knowledge of the procedures and patient care techniques involved in the delivery of respiratory care</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights and Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>Full time 36hrs on 7p-7a - excellent shift and weekend differentials</p> </li><li> <p>Great benefits starting day 1!</p> </li></ul> <p>Ministry/Facility Information</p> <p>Johnson Memorial Hospital and Home & Community Health Services provide a continuum of health care services to those living and working in north central Connecticut and western Massachusetts.
