About the Role Saratoga Hospital Foundation is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Manager of Major Gifts and Donor Engagement to lead and grow a comprehensive fundraising portfolio. This role is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors, legacy donors, corporate partners, and foundation supporters, while also supporting capital campaigns and other strategic initiatives that advance the mission of Saratoga Hospital. The ideal candidate is a passionate advocate for community health, a collaborative team player, and a skilled fundraiser with a proven track record of securing significant gifts and building long-term donor relationships. What You#ll Do Major Gifts # Individual Giving Manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, focusing on gifts of $10,000 and above. Develop and implement personalized cultivation and solicitation strategies. Collaborate with hospital leadership and Foundation board members to engage key donors. Legacy # Planned Giving Lead the development and promotion of a planned giving program. Identify and cultivate legacy donors and prospects through targeted outreach and stewardship. Capital Campaign Support Assist in the planning and execution of capital campaign strategies and donor engagement. Support campaign communications, donor pipeline development, and prospect research. Corporate # Foundation Giving Cultivate and manage relationships with corporate sponsors and foundation partners. Collaborate on grant proposals, reports, and stewardship activities. Donor Engagement # Stewardship Design and implement stewardship plans that deliver exceptional donor experiences. Plan and support donor events, recognition programs, and impact communications. Strategic Initiatives Contribute to the development and achievement of annual fundraising goals. Conduct donor research and analysis to identify new opportunities. Collaborate across departments to align fundraising with hospital priorities. Support the development and growth of the Grateful Patient Program, working closely with clinical teams to identify and engage patients and families who wish to express appreciation through philanthropy. Employee campaign. Plan, organize and execute the annual employee giving campaign. # What You Bring Bachelor#s Degree in related field Minimum of 5#6 years of experience in nonprofit development, with at least 1 year in a management role. A passionate and energetic advocate for Saratoga Hospital#s mission and values. Demonstrated success in major gifts fundraising, preferably in healthcare or cultural institutions. Experience with planned giving and legacy donor cultivation. Familiarity with the philanthropic landscape of the Capital Region and Upstate New York. Proven ability to secure five- and six-figure gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders. Excellent writing and presentation skills for proposals, reports, and donor communications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite, and donor management software (e.g., Neon, Greater Giving, NetSuite).
