<p>Paraprofessional for Essential Skills</p> <p>Position Type: Paraprofessional for Essential Skills</p> <p>Location: Twin Lakes School Corporation</p> <p>Performance Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Creates positive and respectful relationships with students, staff, parents, administrators and professional agencies who work on behalf of the student. </li><li>Ability to read, analyze and interpret teacher and related staff directions and follow through with schedule of instruction. </li><li>Ability to work with individually or with small group to reinforce learning of academic material and/or social emotional skills initially introduced by the teacher in the resource room and/or an inclusive school setting. </li><li>Ability to assist with supervision of individual, small group or whole classroom as needed for emergency drills, safety plans, school assemblies, field trips and prevocational tasks. </li><li>Ability to assist with supervise of self-help skills, daily living and pre-vocational skills including recess, lunch, toileting, hygiene, travel in and out of building and community outings. </li><li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and accurately communicate information in a timely manner with supervising teacher, staff and administration. </li><li>Ability to be a positive role model and consistently follow through with positive behavioral supports in all educational settings. </li><li>Participates in research-based academic instruction and behavior crisis intervention training as requested. </li><li>Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of licensed teachers and directs family communication to appropriate licensed personnel. </li><li>Willingness to be a team member who is flexible, open to ongoing professional development and can positively accept change on behalf of student or program improvement. </li><li>Additional duties may be assigned based on specific student or classroom need. </li></ul> <p>Qualification in one of the following :</p> <ul> <li>Completed two years of college 60 hrs. </li><li>Hold a two year degree </li><li>Pass state Parapro exam </li><li>Extremely organized. Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li></ul> <p>LIFE INSURANCE: Twin Lakes School Corporation provides qualified employees with $50,000 of term life</p> <p>insurance. TLSC pays 100% of this premium minus $1/year paid by the employee.</p> <p>HEALTH INSURANCE: Health insurance is available for eligible employees and is offered through the MASE</p> <p>Insurance Trust. Twin Lakes School Corporation pays $1398 monthly towards a family plan and $644 monthly towards a single plan.</p> <p>DENTAL AND VISION INSURANCE: Eligible employees are offered Dental and Vision insurance. TLSC</p> <p>provides $30 per month towards the premium of a single or family Dental plan and $10 monthly towards a single or family Vision plan.</p> <p>DEPENDENT LIFE is also offered to our employees. The rate for dependent life is $1.50 per month.</p> <p>Coverage provided by dependent life:</p> <p>Spouse: $5000</p> <p>Child 6 mo. to 19 years or 25 if full-time student: $2000</p> <p>Child 14 days to 6 months: $500</p> <p>LONG TERM DISABILITY: TLSC provides a LTD policy should you become disabled and qualify for benefits,</p> <p>your monthly benefit payment would be approximately 66-2/3 of your monthly</p> <p>income. (There is a 90-day elimination period.) TLSC pays 100% of this premium minus</p> <p>$1/year paid by the employee.</p> <p>Retirement Benefits</p> <p>403(b): A 403(b) is a great way to save for your retirement. An amount chosen by you is deducted from</p> <p>each pay throughout the year and sent to your 403(b) vendor.
