<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Develops SMT assembly and soldering processes in medium to high-mixed complex PCBA environment. Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Plan and develop process and capacity utilization strategies for SMT assembly operations. </li><li>Develop solder paste printing, automated solder paste inspection, component placement, reflow soldering, and automated optical inspection (AOI) processes. </li><li>Develop SMT solder paste reflow profiles to ensure proper solder wetting. </li><li>Identify the root cause of yield/ quality issues and work with internal design/ application groups as well as vendors to develop corrective action. </li><li>Ensure production readiness of key processes in PCB assembly cycle. </li><li>Continuously improve SMT processes and yields. </li><li>Design experiments to develop optimum production processes such as solder paste selection, stencil designs, feeder set up methodology, and selective soldering techniques. </li><li>Optimize machine set up and programming. </li><li>Collaborate with internal teams on New Product Introductions (NPI); Interface with customers on pre-assembly or post-assembly concerns. </li><li>Manipulate data files using Gerber, ODB++, various CAD packages and 3D modeling such as AutoCAD and Solidworks preferred. </li></ul> <p>Language Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read and speak English fluently. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. </li><li>Ability to respond to urgent emails quickly and effectively. </li><li>Must be fluent in Microsoft office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. </li><li>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. </li><li>Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. </li></ul> <p>Mathematical Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. </li><li>Must be able to compute volumes of various shapes. </li><li>Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. .</p> <ul> <li>Able to interpret assembly and fab drawings and the requirements within. </li><li>Able to Follow clean room and ESD policies, become familiar with and practice 6S principles in order to maintain a safe, neat, and orderly workplace. </li><li>Must hold U.S. Citizenship </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Experience: Minimum of an associate degree in Engineering or Technical field and two to four years of related experience. Intimate SMT process experience is a must.</p>
