<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Semester: Spring 2025 and Summer 2025</p> <p>Adjunct Non-Credit Instructors in the Continuing Education Division are hired as part time instructors to provide instruction for non-credit courses on an as needed basis and based upon sufficient course enrollment. They develop and deliver course content using high quality pedagogical techniques to ensure maximum student success and learning. They also work with the Continuing Education Division team to ensure compliance with all college administrative policies and practices.</p> <p>The areas of interest are:</p> <p>BUSINESS SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Computer Skills </li><li>Event Planning </li><li>Project Management </li></ul> <p>HEALTHCARE</p> <ul> <li>Certified Nursing Assistant </li><li>Emergency Medical Technician </li><li>Home Health Aide </li><li>Phlebotomy Technician </li></ul> <p>TEST PREP</p> <ul> <li>HISET/GED </li><li>MA Real Estate Sales Prep </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>The duties of the Adjunct Non-Credit Instructor include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and revise instruction/curriculum as needed. </li><li>Assess student progress, advise and support students as they pursue development of their academic and professional skills. </li><li>Assist students with setting academic and professional goals. </li><li>Monitor email communications from students and the college and respond in a timely manner, as appropriate. </li><li>Ensure that classes meet for the allotted time on every scheduled meeting day during the semester. </li><li>Provide timely and consistent feedback to students. </li><li>Maintain accurate student records of attendance, participation, and grades. </li><li>Meet all deadlines for grade submission to the Registrar's Office, student participation reports, and/or other administrative documentation as required. </li><li>Works collaboratively with Division staff. </li><li>Focus on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions. </li><li>Participate in required Human Resources and Information Technology Services trainings, new instructor orientations, and periodic check-in meetings with Division staff. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Skills/Experience/Training Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree </li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with adult students from diverse educational and ethnic backgrounds in an instructional setting; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. </li><li>Familiarity with learning management systems and other remote learning technology </li><li>Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching style and materials to meet the individual needs of students </li><li>Proven technological proficiency, which may include Microsoft Office 365 applications </li><li>Reliable transportation in order to travel to and from meetings, trainings, or campus and community locations as required </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in education or related field </li><li>Demonstrated experience integrating technology into the teaching and learning processes, which may include providing blended, online, and distance learning opportunities for students </li><li>Multi-lingual candidates fluent in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, French, Portuguese, French Creole, or Cape Verdean Creole </li><li>Demonstrated understanding of the community college mission and role with a focus on promoting diversity, equity and inclusion </li><li>Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and technology skills </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</p> <p>The employee must meet the physical demands and work environment of the position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable those with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Position Status: Part-time, non-benefitted; Adjunct instructors are hired on an as needed basis each semester.</p> <p>Supervisor: Associate Dean, Continuing Education</p> <p>Semester: Spring 2025 and Summer 2025</p> <p>Hours: Designated weekday evenings, 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm or weekends; not to exceed 18 hours per week</p> <p>Salary: $35.31 per hour</p> <p>Worksite: Assignments will include Brockton or Canton campuses (in-person classes) or online (hybrid classes) as needed.</p> <p>Deadline to Apply: June 30, 2025</p> <p>Positions will be available pending sufficient enrollment.
