Our success is determined by the success of our clients.</p> <p>This position will operate in a hybrid work environment, 3 days per week in the office (Philadelphia, PA).</p> <p>OVERVIEW:</p> <p>The Director of Trust Settlement Estate Services will oversee the administration of trusts and estates, in accordance with Glenmede's fiduciary duties and compliance with regulatory and legal standards. This role will have a primary function of building out process, policies and procedures for the non-probate administration of trusts. In addition, the role will include subject matter expertise, support and oversight of Glenmede's trust administration and estate services through procedure and process improvement, technical support on complex administrative matters and training. This role will work closely with Glenmede's client teams, Estate Settlement team, Fiduciary Services and Tax teams.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Non-Probate Administration:</p> <ul> <li>Identify impact of client deaths to any client accounts at Glenmede </li><li>Coordinate of Death Notification cases and information to various stakeholders at Glenmede in a timely manner, including related account maintenance </li><li>Work with client's attorney, if needed, to obtain required information </li><li>Create talking points and training material for relationship teams to share with clients and help them understand the post-death process - </li><li>Develop collateral for clients and prospects to highlight how Glenmede works with families following a client's death (if appropriate / desired) </li><li>Review of all trusts impacted by client death and outline of next steps needed, including acceptance, resignation, declination or termination of the trusts </li><li>Collaborate with Director of Estate Settlement to coordinate work for estate settlement if Glenmede is also serving as Executor </li><li>Create policies, procedures and processes to build a centralized post-death administration group </li><li>Collaborate with attorneys, financial advisors, and other professionals to ensure the effective management of client assets </li><li>Oversee the preparation and filing of necessary legal documents </li></ul> <p>Trust Administration:</p> <ul> <li>Provide functional leadership and subject matter expertise for Wealth Advisors on matters relating to trust administration </li><li>Work on administration projects and priorities, including policies and procedures, process workflow </li><li>Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations related to trust and estate administration </li><li>Train and mentor junior staff members on trust administration and post-death administration matters </li><li>Collaborate with the Fiduciary team to ensure appropriate review of fiduciary matters requiring review and escalation </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in finance, law, or a related field; JD preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in trust and estate administration, including prior experience serving as a corporate fiduciary. </li><li>Strong knowledge of trust and estate laws and regulations. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. </li><li>Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. </li><li>Proficiency in trust and estate management software. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>JD degree and prior experience as a corporate trustee preferred. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. </li><li>Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. </li><li>Proficiency in trust and estate management software. </li></ul> <p>Headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, Glenmede has 9 office locations in the US.
