<p>Strength and Conditioning Trainer JobID: 421</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Athletics/Activities</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>5/20/2026</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>West Feliciana High School</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>08/03/2026</p> <p>Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Job Title: Strength and Conditioning Trainer</p> <p>Location: All Schools/West Feliciana High School</p> <p>Employment Details:</p> <ul> <li>Full-Time Position (182 day/9 month employee;) </li><li>Health Insurance, Benefits, TRSL Retirement </li><li>Salary is Based on Experience as designated on Teacher Salary Schedule </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree or Higher </li><li>Three years of coaching and/or teaching experience preferred </li></ul> <p>OVERVIEW OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and monitor strength training and conditioning programs in-season, off-season, and pre-season for all school-sanctioned male and female athletic programs in a manner that reflects data-driven practices. </li><li>Work in cooperation with the athletic trainer in the rehabilitation and strengthening of injured athletes as well as promoting injury prevention. </li><li>Facilitate a collaborative relationship among coaches, PE teachers, administrators, and athletic director to identify goals and vision as it pertains to athletic performance and development. </li><li>Promote and maintain a positive relationship with parents and community members. </li><li>Provide professional development to coaches and PE teachers as needed. </li><li>Design and implement policies and procedures for the strength and conditioning program in accordance with the LHSAA and district goals. </li><li>Develop systems for tracking student progress in conjunction with the coaches and PE teachers. </li><li>Conduct an annual needs-analysis for each team in conjunction with the coaches and the team's athletic trainer at the beginning and conclusion of each season. </li><li>Annually conduct and review a departmental risk management plan. </li><li>Assist the athletic director in identifying needs for equipment. </li><li>Ensure athletic arenas, facilities, and/or other areas where athletic programs are held remain clean, orderly, and appropriate for a positive atmosphere. </li><li>Determine and reinforce expectations for athlete conduct that mirror the school's expectations for curricula and extra-curricular activities, as stated in the school's Student Code of Conduct. </li><li>Design and implement curriculum to incorporate strength and conditioning practices into PE classes. </li><li>Adhere to the policies and procedures as outlined in the school and district handbooks, West Feliciana High School coaching handbook, and the WFHS athletic handbook for coaches, players, and parents. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul>
