We also provide a 401(k) savings plan, Employee Assistance Program, a tuition reimbursement program, professional development and advancement opportunities.</p> <p>Join our team, be part of the solution, support evolving innovations, and help us continue providing quality products, all while being supported by strong leadership and a comprehensive and competitive benefits program.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Buzzi Unicem USA is searching for a Shipping Supervisor for our Festus Plant near St. Louis, MO.</p> <ul> <li>Supervises all shipping employees on the three-shift operation. </li><li>Directs the packing, loading, weighing and shipping of cement, in trucks, railcars and barges in accordance with daily delivery schedules. </li><li>Makes daily inspections of machinery and equipment in order to maintain efficient operation; checks inventory daily. </li><li>Makes recommendation to Quality Manager regarding equipment problems, personnel problems or safety concerns. </li><li>Understands and uses ASTM Specifications and NIST Handbook on Weights and Measures. </li><li>Maintains direct contact with Sales Office and customers in regard to cement deliveries. </li><li>Deals with customer complaints that have to do with shipments. </li><li>Deals with vendors who come onsite to work on production or material handling equipment. </li><li>Investigates and reports on accidents involving employees and equipment. Promotes and enforces safe working practices and good housekeeping. </li><li>Maintains current knowledge of collective bargaining agreement and related plant policies. Seeks opportunities to promote and instill an attitude of cost and profit consciousness. </li><li>Continues self-improvement activities especially in the area of rail, barge, and bulk load-out operations or improved techniques for supervising hourly employees. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is required </li><li>Minimum of three years supervisory experience. </li><li>Cement industry experience preferred. </li><li>Good communication and language skills </li><li>Good organization, human relations and decision-making abilities </li><li>Experience or educational background in maintenance of production equipment </li></ul> <p>Buzzi Unicem USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
