<p>Position Information</p> <p>TheDepartment of Facility Maintenance, Public Building and Electrical Maintenance Division, is hiring for aPower Generator/Mechanical Repairer in Honolulu.</p> <p>Under the general direction and supervision of the Lead Mechanical Repairer, this position:</p> <ul> <li>Operates and performs maintenance, inspections, repairs and diagnoses of power support systems ranging in capacities from 5 kilowatt to 1 megawatt electrical power generators; </li><li>Participates in the repair, overhaul, testing and maintenance of a wide variety of mechanical equipment and related items such as roll-up doors, mechanical doors, jail cell doors, fuel dispensing pumps, pumps, sump pumps, compressors, electric motors, concrete mixers, groundskeeping and custodial equipment and other small construction and maintenance equipment for all facilities under the jurisdiction of the Department of Facility Maintenance. </li><li>Applies applicable safety practices, rules and procedures and perform all duties in a safe and acceptable manner. </li></ul> <p>Special Working Conditions: This position is required to have unescorted access to the Joint Traffic Management Center (JTMC).
