This rewarding opportunity will help you gain new skills as you work nose-to-tail on our aircraft, belong to a world-class family of fellow mechanics, and have a crucial impact on the entire SkyWest operation.</p> <p>Primary Job Duties</p> <ul> <li> <p>Responsible to Manager of Heavy Maintenance and Supervisor Heavy Maintenance</p> </li><li> <p>Must reside near the heavy maintenance provider facility</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as liaison between the Heavy Maintenance Provider and:</p> </li><li> <p>Manager of Heavy Maintenance Contracts with regards to aircraft</p> </li><li> <p>Manager of Heavy Maintenance</p> </li><li> <p>Manager of Quality Control Assigned</p> </li><li> <p>Senior Manager of Quality Control</p> </li><li> <p>Manager of Quality Assurance</p> </li><li> <p>Manager of Reliability</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that aircraft being inspected and repaired for SkyWest and completed with the highest quality possible</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that all paperwork provided to the SGU records department regarding the aircraft is complete, free of omissions and obvious errors and is properly identified</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the progress and quality of heavy maintenance project</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and inspect the work being performed at the heavy maintenance project</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with interpretation and implementation of SkyWest standard practices</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that all documentation required by SkyWest is completed</p> </li><li> <p>Review paperwork frequently to ensure discrepancies and corrective action is being correctly documented</p> </li><li> <p>Perform Airworthiness Release Authorization and RII functions of completed aircraft(s)</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with training of the heavy maintenance personnel</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with receiving inspection of parts provisioning</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must hold the following:</p> </li><li> <p>Must hold a valid A&P Certificate 14 CFR 121.378</p> </li><li> <p>Level III Mechanic Authorization</p> </li><li> <p>RII authorization (preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Receiving Authorization (preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Airworthiness Release Authorization (preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Unrestricted driver's license</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred experience in supervision of personnel</p> </li><li> <p>Must be self-motivated with positive attitude and ability to motivate others</p> </li><li> <p>Must be familiar with SkyWest Airlines maintenance standard practice policy and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Extensive SkyWest MIP knowledge</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with SkyTrack</p> </li><li> <p>Must be familiar with requirement of SP 7650, Maintenance Recording regarding maintenance records of aircraft, engines, propellers, appliances and other components and/or maintenance functions that are required by applicable FAR's</p> </li><li> <p>Have good communication skills both written and verbal</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical and Other Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Able to comfortably lift 60 lbs. routinely with or without a reasonable accommodation </li><li>This is a Department of Transportation safety sensitive position </li></ul> <p>To apply, please complete the on-line application (qualified applicants will be contacted)</p> <p>This job posting may have an additional video interview requirement.
