<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Behavioral Health Specialist works under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor/Manager and is responsible for providing case management services to a diverse clientele of children and families with mental health and substance use diagnoses. Services may be provided via telehealth, outpatient offices, and/or community-based settings. This position requires the Behavioral health specialist to work with our adult clients in Crisis.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone every day, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics. </li><li>Respond within established timelines to Adult Mobile Crisis dispatch calls and provide in-person or telehealth support. </li><li>Manage mental health emergencies in a culturally responsive manner to support clients in a framework and manner that acknowledges their unique and intersecting personal and cultural identities. </li><li>Collaborate with clinical staff to assess crisis situations, identify strengths and needs, and participate in crisis de-escalation. </li><li>Support the development and implementation of individualized short-term stabilization plans in partnership with the client, family, and clinical team. </li><li>Assist families in identifying natural supports and navigating access to community-based behavioral health services and resources. </li><li>Provide psychoeducation, behavioral coaching, and skill-building interventions to clients. </li><li>Participate in regular follow-up and stabilization support for up to 30 days post-crisis. </li><li>Maintain timely and accurate documentation of service delivery in compliance with Medicaid and OhioMHAS regulations. </li><li>Comply with workflows and data collection requirements for AMC and Crisis services </li><li>Engage in required training and supervision to maintain fidelity to AMC service model and agency standards. </li><li>Meet with Supervisor for weekly supervision. </li><li>Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required. </li><li>Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and a culture of belonging. </li><li>Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts. </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree or minimum of three years of experience in behavioral health setting working with youth and families.
