<p>Commercial Building Engineer/Mechanic</p> <p>Employment Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor/Chief Engineer</p> <p>Location: Multiple Sites - Including Medical Offices, Office Buildings, Retail Spaces, Garages, Parking Lots, and Event Venues.</p> <p>Shift: 8 AM to 4:30 PM</p> <p>About the Role:</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Building Technician to support the upkeep and maintenance of a dynamic portfolio of commercial properties. These include medical and office facilities, retail spaces, parking structures, and event venues. This hands-on role is critical to maintaining the safety, functionality, and presentation of our properties through daily maintenance and repair tasks.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Perform routine and emergency maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems</p> <p>Conduct inspections and repairs for mechanical, lighting, fire/life safety, and building automation systems</p> <p>Complete general building maintenance tasks such as drywall repair, painting, and ceiling tile replacement</p> <p>Maintain lighting, gates, and surface integrity in garages and parking lots</p> <p>Support snow removal and seasonal outdoor maintenance</p> <p>Respond promptly to tenant service requests and maintain a professional appearance across all sites</p> <p>Maintain safety compliance, service logs, and inspection documentation</p> <p>Collaborate with vendors and contractors as needed</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade certifications preferred</p> <p>Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial property maintenance</p> <p>Strong skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs and troubleshooting</p> <p>Ability to read blueprints and follow schematics is a plus</p> <p>Experience using Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel, and work order systems (Yardi experience is a plus)</p> <p>Valid driver's license required</p> <p>Physical & Work Environment Requirements:</p> <p>Regular exposure to outdoor elements and varying noise levels</p> <p>Must be able to move across properties, use tools, and interact with system components</p> <p>Requires visual acuity, manual dexterity, and ability to operate maintenance equipment</p> <p>We value team members who take initiative, communicate effectively, and contribute to a well-maintained and safe environment for tenants and visitors alike.</p>
