<p>Are you passionate about helping kids be their best selves?</p> <p>UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Flex Full-Time Patient Services Representative to support the office in Altoona.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Patient Interaction: Greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information. </li><li>Scheduling: Arrange follow-up appointments and connect patients to services. </li><li>Support: Help patients navigate the healthcare system and provide clear instructions. </li><li>Technology: Register patients in Biometrics and promote MyUPMC portal. </li><li>Financial Advocacy: Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to resources. </li><li>Compliance: Verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and follow HIPAA regulations. </li><li>Admin Tasks: Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform office duties. </li><li>Completion of high school or equivalent. </li><li>Experience with personal computer-based applications, various office equipment, and proficient typing skills preferred. </li><li>Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. </li><li>Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems preferred. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <ul> <li>Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73. </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
