<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The School of Technology, Engineering & Computing at Onondaga Community College is currently accepting applications from persons interested in teaching courses on-site in Architectural Design Studies.</p> <p>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>College-level teaching of Architecture and Interior design courses include:</p> <ul> <li>Preparing and presenting lectures and course materials that comply with course outlines and outcomes; </li><li>Meeting with students as needed to answer questions; </li><li>Responding to student queries (e.g. email or voice mail) as needed, in a reasonably timely manner; </li><li>Writing, administering, and grading all student assignments and exams; </li><li>Computing grades and submitting them on time. </li><li>Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from a NAAB accredited institution; </li><li>Three years of work experience in architecture; </li><li>Prior experience providing training or instruction in the Architecture field; </li><li>Active participation in professional and community organizations; </li><li>Knowledge and enthusiasm about design, construction technology, sustainability and resiliency issues. </li></ul> <p>PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Architectural Licensure </li><li>Prior college teaching experience. </li><li>Bilingual in Spanish and English. English and another language will be considered. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>In-depth knowledge of 2D and 3D architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD and Sketch Up, and graphic design software such as Adobe Suite, along with professional computer skills including MS Office Suite or similar software. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>Adjunct rate of pay for the 25/26 academic year is $1,483/credit hour.
