Ensure policies, procedures, and all activities are carried out to support BRS goals and objectives at the RH Degasser on their respective crew assignments.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements and "where applicable" ResponsibleSteel requirements are followed. </li><li>Ensure good housekeeping practices are carried out in the job areas and grounds. </li><li>Assist team with operations and/or maintenance of the RHD. </li><li>Safely run overhead cranes with remote and safely operate forklifts. </li><li>Ensure RHD maintains appropriate supply of stock to operate during shift. </li><li>Support and understanding of functions of the RHD. </li><li>Support other departments as needed to strengthen BRS profitability and continual improvement. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Quality, detail, and safety oriented mechanically inclined and self-motivated. </li><li>Good insight into team dynamics with strong verbal communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work without direct supervision. </li><li>High School diploma or equivalent: college degree a plus. </li><li>Previous related experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Environment is typical for a steel mill production area, with extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and dusty/greasy areas. Physically demanding work will be required in the production environment and the ability to routinely lift and move heavy objects during shift is required. Typical work hours are 12-hour shifts, which rotate days and nights. This results in working some weekends/holidays and overtime.</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibility:</p> <p>This position does not supervise others.</p> <p>Company Overview</p> <p>U. S.
