Under the guidance and supervision of maintenance manager, plant manager, shop foreman, the helper will learn to operate devices and machinery, maintain inventories, clean and provide general support for the business. This position requires work performance that is consistent with the company mission and values producing a product that meets recognized standards and customer expectations by maintaining Quality and Safety procedures.??This is a safety-sensitive position which has been defined as one where the employee's responsibilities impact the health and safety of themselves, coworkers and/or the public (in this case the end-user of our product). All production and production support positions fall into this category.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Operating Devices and Machinery:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting staff by operating machinery and tools. </li><li>Empty scrap bins, chips go in the chip container, drops go in the large drops container. </li></ul> <p>Inventory Management:</p> <ul> <li>Monitoring inventory levels of janitorial supplies and materials. </li><li>Restock PPE and other safety items. </li><li>Restock consumables and other welder/fabricator needs. </li></ul> <p>Yard Work:</p> <ul> <li>Assist yard operator to organize kits or material in the yard. </li></ul> <p>Restroom/Breakroom/Office Cleaning:</p> <ul> <li>Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms during each shift. </li><li>Tasks include sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces. </li><li>Ensure that all fixtures (sinks, toilets, urinals) are spotless and free of grime. </li><li>Restock paper towels, toilet paper, and soap dispensers. </li><li>Washing and cleaning windows and mirrors. </li><li>Dusting furniture and fixtures. </li></ul> <p>General Support:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting colleagues with tasks as required. </li><li>Snow removal as required. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>Good manual dexterity and aptitude for working with tools and machinery.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to learn and adapt to changing job requirements and responsibilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Flexibility and willingness to work flexible hours as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.?
