<p>Job Title: Waterjet Manager</p> <p>Location: Germantown, WI</p> <p>Company: KLH Industries</p> <p>About KLH:</p> <p>KLH Industries is a precision machining company built around technology and quality. Our specialty is medium-to-high complexity parts at low-to-medium volumes (50-5,000 EAU). We engineer repeatable results across all industries, specializing in the aerospace, defense, and firearms sectors.</p> <p>We're not the cheapest option, and we don't want to be. We win work by knowing the smartest way to make complex parts and backing it up with consistent quality.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <p>As the Waterjet Manager, you'll lead a department that prides itself on responsiveness and precision. You'll be responsible for scheduling, production, and leadership, and ensuring that jobs flow through the department efficiently, accurately, and on time.</p> <p>This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on leadership and thrives in a fast-paced environment where timeliness and customer satisfaction come first. You'll coordinate across departments, monitor performance, and drive process improvements to keep work moving and the team performing at its best.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee day-to-day Waterjet operations, including scheduling, production flow, and personnel management </li><li>Lead by example. Set expectations for quality, safety, and urgency </li><li>Program or review cutting paths and nesting layouts for optimal material use </li><li>Ensure jobs meet quality and dimensional standards before moving downstream </li><li>Monitor variance against planned hours and drive corrective actions when needed </li><li>Coordinate with other departments (CNC, EDM, Maintenance, Quality) to fulfill production needs </li><li>Support estimating and quoting activities when required </li><li>Maintain and improve departmental processes using Lean and continuous improvement tools </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>4+ years of operating and programming waterjet or laser cutting machines (7+ years preferred) </li><li>Experience leading a production team or shift </li><li>Ability to read blueprints, and make practical decisions about manufacturability </li><li>Experience building routings in ERP systems (JobBOSS or similar) </li><li>Ability to work flexible hours when customer needs demand it </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of ownership for schedule and quality </li><li>Meet the definition of a U.S. Person, as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) </li></ul> <p>Nice to Have:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Flow or similar waterjet systems </li><li>Experience quoting or estimating (Paperless Parts preferred) </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <ul> <li>Lead a small, high-impact team with modern equipment </li><li>Own your department's performance and make measurable improvements </li><li>Work in a company that values technology, precision, and professionalism </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>401(k) </li><li>401(k) matching </li><li>Dental insurance </li><li>Employee assistance program </li><li>Flexible schedule </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Health savings account </li><li>Life insurance </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Referral program </li><li>Retirement plan </li><li>Tuition reimbursement </li><li>Vision insurance </li></ul> <p>Application Question(s):</p> <ul> <li>How many years of hands-on experience do you have operating or programming waterjet or laser cutting machines (e.g., Flow, Omax, or similar)? </li><li>Have you previously led a production team or shift where you were responsible for scheduling, quality, and on-time delivery performance? </li></ul> <p>Ability to Commute:</p> <ul> <li>Germantown, WI 53022 (Required) </li></ul> <p>Work Location: In person</p>
