It's not just a job, it's a career.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>MHI is seeking a Rental & Used Equipment Manager to oversee the successful operation of rental departments within an assigned area. This role is responsible for maintaining a used truck inventory, managing long-term and short-term rental programs, and sourcing and selling wholesale equipment for both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to lead rental operations effectively.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Long-Term Rental (LTR) Management</p> <ul> <li>Ensure LTR financial performance aligns with MHI's financial model. </li><li>Drive year-over-year growth of LTR programs in assigned area. </li><li>Develop and manage all MHI LTR documents, including client and company obligations. </li><li>Provide competitive LTR programs and rate calculations for the sales team. </li><li>Manage asset tracking, maintenance, and return processes using AS400 and Record360. </li><li>Oversee billing, invoicing, and annual account reviews for LTR clients. </li><li>Coordinate maintenance schedules with service, parts, and AMP departments. </li><li>Lead monthly LTR meetings and ongoing training sessions for the sales team. </li><li>Develop LTR marketing programs and assist in creating new rental offerings. </li></ul> <p>Short-Term Rental (STR) Management</p> <ul> <li>Align STR financial performance with MHI's financial goals. </li><li>Develop and improve STR rental documents and programs. </li><li>Manage STR asset tracking, maintenance, and customer invoicing. </li><li>Provide monthly STR utilization and financial reports. </li><li>Ensure STR equipment is received, prepared, and delivered in optimal condition. </li><li>Oversee billing, collections, and maintenance obligations for STR agreements. </li><li>Lead STR marketing initiatives and develop special rental offerings. </li></ul> <p>Used Equipment Sales & Management</p> <ul> <li>Assist the sales team in marketing and selling used equipment. </li><li>Appraise trade-in equipment and determine pricing strategies. </li><li>Coordinate necessary repairs and prepare used inventory for sale. </li><li>Work with internal teams to manage and optimize used equipment inventory. </li></ul> <p>Wholesale Equipment Sales & Management</p> <ul> <li>Manage inventory levels and ensure profitability through best practices. </li><li>Develop relationships for equipment acquisition and sales. </li><li>Work with internal and external customers to meet equipment needs. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of experience in the rental market. </li><li>Up to date and thorough knowledge of current construction and port market of assigned area. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Excellent time management, organization, and multi-tasking abilities. </li><li>Ability to develop and mentor a team. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills. </li><li>High energy, ambition, and drive to achieve world-class results. </li><li>Proficiency in computer systems and asset tracking software. </li><li>Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. </li></ul> <p>Material Handling Inc.'s commitment to you:</p> <p>A family owned and operated business that prioritizes well-being of employees.</p> <ul> <li>Health Insurance - three different plans to choose from </li><li>Voluntary Dental Insurance </li><li>Voluntary Vision Insurance </li><li>Company Paid Life Insurance </li><li>Additional Life Insurance if desired </li><li>Short & Long-Term Disability </li><li>401k - with employer match </li></ul>
