<p>Supports the development and implementation of simulation based education across the Advocate Aurora system. They will partner with faculty and simulation education specialists to provide technical expertise on simulation. Reporting to the Manager System Simulation the position will provide support in establishing and achieving simulation-based education that aligns with strategic organizational outcomes. They will be involved in planning, launching and operations of in situ simulation and simulation centers across the enterprise.</p> <p>Major Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plans, schedules and implements/coordinates simulation based programs in conjunction with simulation facilitators. This includes but is not limited to set up, tear down, programming of equipment, and basic maintenance of equipment. </li><li>Maintains equipment utilized in simulation training. This includes coordinating and troubleshooting of equipment/software upgrades and regular maintenance. </li><li>Maintains and replenishes inventory as necessary. </li><li>Provides training and acts as a resource for confederates and simulation technologies. </li><li>Maintains proficiency in existing and emerging simulation technologies. </li><li>Collects and coordinates accurate data in support of simulation activities. </li><li>Internal and external stakeholder management. </li><li>Acts as a member of the Advocate Aurora Academy to develop comprehensive system wide learning strategies, ensuring simulation is represented in our direction and priorities. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:</p> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) </li></ul> <p>Education Required:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree in Organizational Development or related field. </li></ul> <p>Experience Required:</p> <ul> <li>Typically requires 2 years of experience in healthcare simulation operations, clinical experience or technology. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:</p> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal skills. </li><li>Strong computer knowledge in Microsoft office including Word and Excel. </li><li>Detail oriented. </li><li>Ability to organize and prioritize work. </li><li>Flexible with changing priorities. </li><li>Demonstrated problem solving ability. </li><li>Ability to travel to various Advocate Aurora Health facilities. </li><li>Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations. </li><li>Ability to work as a member of a diverse team. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to move equipment and learning materials (up to 50lbs). </li><li>Exposed to a normal office environment </li><li>Position requires travel and exposure to road and weather hazards. </li><li>Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job. </li></ul> <p>This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent.
